4th of July Celebrations Around Columbus, Ohio

4th of July is right around the corner! I’ve put together a list of all the holiday events and fireworks that are happening in and around Columbus. This list is organized alphabetically by city, so take a look and plan your holiday fun! Many have fireworks, and others include markets, 5K’s, parades and so much more. I’ll be updating this list if I find any other celebrations planned, so check back often!

Bexley Celebrations

Thursday, July 4

5K at 8am. Parade at 9:30am. Evening Celebrations and Fireworks: 6pm-10pm

Independence Day celebrations in Bexley begin with the annual John Barr 5k, followed by the legendary parade, community celebration on Main Street, and a mesmerizing display of fireworks. You won’t want to miss this one!

Red White & Boom Independance Day Celebration Columbus

Wednesday, July 3

11am-10pm (fireworks at 10pm)

Red, White & BOOM! is an experience and a tradition for over 400,000 visitors who come together each Independence Day to celebrate our country, our community and honor our military and veterans. BOOM! is a safe and FREE event which features a parade, our famous street festival, and live musical entertainment!

Delaware July 4 Parade, Concert, Fireworks

All the Independence Day celebration events are on Thursday, July 4. Fireworks will launch from the traditional location at the City’s Cherry Street property at about 10 pm.

Prior to fireworks, the Central Ohio Symphony will perform its traditional outdoor concert on the Ohio Wesleyan University campus at 7:30 pm. Outdoor seating will be on the Phillips Glen lawn. More information is here.

The day’s activities get started with the annual parade, beginning at 11 am, and once again sponsored by Citizens for the 4th.

Fishing Derby: 8am. Parade: 11am. Live music and entertainment: 4:30pm-9:45pm. Fireworks: 9:50pm

Gahanna Pararde, Family Day and Fireworks

Wednesday, July 3

5pm-11pm (Fireworks at 10pm)

Gahanna Municipal Golf Course

Join the City of Gahanna in celebrating our nation’s Independence Day! Fireworks will be launched from the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course at 10 p.m. Food vendors will be onsite and live music will begin at 5:30 p.m. with Honey and Blue opening the evening and the Wet Bandits headlining the evening. If you are watching the fireworks from your car, be sure to tune into Rewind 103.5/104.3 to listen to our Independence Day soundtrack!

Gahanna 4th of July Parade

Tuesday, July 4

10:30 a.m.

The parade begins at 10:30 AM at Clark Hall and concluding at Royal Plaza.

Grove City Independence Day Celebration

Thursday, July 4

9:45pm

The City of Grove City is set to celebrate Independence Day, Thursday, July 4 with a grand fireworks show at dusk. At 9:45 p.m., the annual community fireworks display is launched from Murfin Fields, with simulcast music on Ofm96, WLVQ-96.3 radio. Listening on the radio is recommended as streaming from a cell phone results in a 30-second delay.

Groveport 4th of July Celebration

Wednesday, July 3

Live Music, Fireworks, Food Trucks, Family Activities: 5:30pm-9:30pm. All activities will take place on Wirt Rd.

Thursday, July 4

Independence Day Celebration Parade

10:30am-Red, White & Kids Parade. 11am-Main Parade.

Hilliard Freedom Fest 4th of July Celebration and Parade

Thursday, July 4

5pm-11pm

Fireworks at approximately 9:45pm

Municipal Park in Hilliard

Freedom Fest is the City of Hilliard’s free annual event that celebrates Independence Day with nationally known artists Big & Rich, Alexis Gomez, and Harper Grace. Attendees enjoy food trucks, swimming, a Kid Zone, concerts and a spectacular fireworks show at dusk. Spend the day with us at Municipal Park and ring in freedom with the City of Hilliard!

New Albany 4th of July Parade, 5K, Festival and Fireworks

Thursday, July 4

Parade: 11am. 6pm: Festival. 10pm: Fireworks

Festival held at New Albany Middle School: 6600 E Dublin-Granville Rd

Presented by the New Albany Chamber of Commerce, the Independence Day Parade & Festival is a favorite annual tradition that fosters civic pride like no other.

Obetz Famous Fortress Fireworks

This year, the highly anticipated Famous Fortress Fireworks event is returning, and it promises our best show yet!
Gates open at 6:00PM, Fireworks time: 9:50pm. Inflatables & Yard Games and live music by Stadium 11.
Cost: FREE!

Pickerington July 4th Celebration

Reynoldsburg Independence Day Celebration

Wednesday, July 3: 6pm-10pm at Civic Park

The event includes entertainment, food vendors, a fun kids’ zone, and of course, a spectacular fireworks show. This event is  Free and open to all.

6:00 p.m. – Gates Open. 9:45 p.m. – Fireworks. *Bounce Houses: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.*

Reynoldsburg Fourth of July Parade

Thursday, July 4: 10am

The Reynoldsburg Community Association organizes the annual parade to celebrate America’s freedoms. The parade route begins at the corner of Rosehill Road and Main St., turning right on Haft Drive and left on Davidson Drive ending at Huber Park.

Upper Arlington Fourth of July

Thursday, July 4

Parade – Northwest Boulevard starting at Kingsdale, 9 am. Party in the Park – Northam Park, Gates Open 5 pm. Fireworks – Northam Park, 10 pm

 

Westerville 4th of July Run, Parade, Festival and Fireworks

Thursday, July 4

Parade: 10:30am. Programming: 4pm. Fun Zone: 5pm. Fireworks: 10pm

10:30 a.m. Parade begins in Uptown Westerville. Route begins at St. Paul Catholic Church, heading south on State Street to Electric Avenue. 4 p.m. Programming begins at the Westerville Sports Complex (325 N. Cleveland Ave.). Beginning at 5 p.m. at the Westerville Sports Complex (325 N. Cleveland Ave.), the City will present the free “Fun Zone.” Enjoy performers in patriotic attire and try your hand at exciting activities like the bungee run, Hungry Hippos game and baseball pitch game! Did we mention the giant inflatable slide? The City will also host food trucks and lawn games at the South end of the Community Center all evening.

Worthington Fireworks

Thursday July 4

Gates Open: 9pm. Fireworks: 10pm

Spectators are urged to plan ahead to walk or bike to the event – Parking Extremely Limited . Continuing construction at Thomas Worthington High School is limiting space for parking and spectators and the Rotary Family Picnic is not scheduled this year. Gates will be open beginning at 9pm with the fireworks blasting off at 10pm
