**Boo at the Zoo is free with Zoo admission or a Columbus Zoo membership**
Gather your ghouls and goblins and join us for Boo at the Zoo, presented by Wendy’s. This merry-not-scary event begins on Friday, October 14 at 5 p.m. and is included with Zoo admission or a Columbus Zoo membership.
Activities:
Character Craze Hay Maze:
The Character Craze Hay Maze is back at Boo at the Zoo, presented by Wendy’s! You will be a-mazed at your ability to navigate through this festive fall experience made of over 40 bales of straw.
Rolling Musical Celebrations:
During this year’s Boo at the Zoo, look out for the Character Express as it will bring four themed rolling musical celebrations: Halloween Hullabaloo, Cali’s Pirate Palooza, Roll Back the Rock, and So Long, Farewell. The route for these celebrations will include the main path in Adventure Cove, around Conservation Lake, and the west side of the Zoo.
Dive Into Adventure Presentations:
On Saturdays and Sundays at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., join us at the Lighthouse Theater and discover your connection to the feathered, flippered, and furry creatures who call Adventure Cove home.
Sea Lion Training Tales:
Join us at the Lighthouse Theater in Adventure Cove for Sea Lion Training Tales presentations. On Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 a.m., experience the wonder of the California sea lions swimming and jumping through the water while learning how our Animal Care team trains these aquatic ambassador animals.
Cheetah Run:
Watch the fastest land mammal reach top speeds in Heart of Africa at the Cheetah Run (Fridays-Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.). The cheetahs will chase a lure, demonstrating their speed and agility.
Jessie’s Jack-O-Lantern Journey:
Guests are welcome to take a self-guided tour of this enchanted path that includes hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins big and small with magical pumpkins round and tall. They are all so incredible-–it will be hard to choose your favorite!
Tommy C. Turtle’s Trick or Treat Trail:
Tommy C. Turtle’s Trick or Treat Trail at Boo at the Zoo will have plenty of treats for the little ones, and we’re making sure it’s safe for the entire family! Make a stop at one of our 13 treat stations located in Adventure Cove, around Conservation Lake, and throughout Asia Quest.
1914 Mangels/Illions Carousel:
Princess Sydnee Koala invites you to take a spin on this 1914 Mangels/Illions Carousel when you visit us for Boo at the Zoo, presented by Wendy’s. It is a regal experience for royals of all ages!
Character Cottage:
Make yourself at home in the Character Cottage (located in the Zoo’s North America region) as you explore the different habitats of the house and see the special jack-o-lanterns created by our Character Ambassadors. Our special guest stars at the Character Cottage, the incomparable Oak Ridge Bears, will be performing songs from their Halloween Hoedown!
