How long have you lived in Columbus and what made you decide to live here?

My whole life! My parents and Ryan’s parents are in the Columbus area!

What is your favorite family activity?

We love going to the park, swimming and anything that involves getting outside! We also love traveling as a family and showing our kids new experiences!

What do you love about living in Columbus?

We love having family close by and the community we are a part of! We value the relationships and the people we have met in Powell and the surrounding area!

Tell us about your business, KSM Sports and Fitness and how it got started.

My husband and I broke ground on the KSM building the day I went into labor with our first child 5 years ago!! Ever since we have strived to make KSM a place where the entire community feels welcome! Ryan brings a passion for athletic training and a huge background in sports! I bring a passion for event planning, sales and helping others in our community. Together our goal is for KSM to change kids and families lives through lifestyle change for a lifetime!

What do you love about your job and your business?

I love that we have the ability to change and impact families and children’s lives! Seeing the kids, athletes and adults in our facility grow and reach goals!

What types of programs and events do you have at KSM Sports and Fitness?

Summer Camp & After School Programs-  Schools out Day camps (www.PowellDayCamps.com), Summer Camp 2023 (www.PowellSummerCamp.com) & After School programs now enrolling!

How do you juggle work and being a mom?

Always try to remember there will never be a PERFECT Balance! I always try to be present in what I’m currently doing – for example we try to do no cell phones/work calls during the 5-7:30PM hours when the kids are needing our time and attention! Try to schedule and plan as much as possible to stay on top of the week!

What is the best piece of advice you have received from another mom?

Ask for help and not try to do it all yourself! Don’t try to be Super Mom! It’s OK to take time for yourself, your marriage and self care!
