Splash Pads in Columbus | Columbus Moms Network

Summer is here and when you’re looking to cool off, look no further then some of the free Splash Pads in Columbus!  Take a look at a few of our favorite places to beat the heat in the summer.  Be sure to pack the following for a successful splash pad experience: sunscreen, sunglasses and/or hats, towels, an extra change of clothes, water and of course lots of snacks! Many splash pads are open until Labor Day or longer so I will update this post as I find information on closing dates for the season. I recommend double checking hours of operation before heading out.

Gahanna Splash Pad

148 Parkland Dr, Gahanna

The Splash Pad will remain open and free to the public from 8am-8pm, through September 30.

Hilliard Station Park 

3800 Veterans Memorial Drive, Hilliard

Hours: 9am-10pm, daily.

Powell Splash Pad 

47 Hall St, Powell

The Splash is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m, Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting. While you’re there, visit the solar picnic pavilion, which provides picnic tables and shade while supplying energy to the Municipal Building. Before visiting the Splash Pad, check the City’s homepage of the website or Facebook page to see if the Splash Pad is open or closed.

Ballantrae Community Fountains

6350 Woerner Temple Rd, Dublin

The Ballantrae Community Park, or the “Bunny Park” as many locals call it, offers a splash pad just behind the statue of the giant dancing hares. This free attraction is perfect for family gatherings, an evening picnic or a day out with the kids. Be sure to bring your bathing suit if you plan on going near the water! The spray fountains run from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. everyday and are generally open from the end of May through September, weather permitting.

Hanby Park Splash Pad

115 E Park St, Westerville

Easton Town Square Splash Pad

Located by Brio at Easton Town Square

Hours: Monday-Saturday: 10am-9pm, Sunday 12pm-6pm

Veterans Park Splash Pad

1121 S Houk Rd, Delaware

Hours: 10am to 8pm Memorial Day through Labor Day.   Seating is available, but bringing your own chair is recommended.

Grove City Splash Pad (Fryer Park)

3899 Orders Rd, Grove City

The Grove City Splash Pad in Fryer Park is located just north of the Grove City YMCA, and is open June through August when the YMCA outdoor pool is open. The Splash Pad is open the same hours as the Grove City YMCA outdoor pool. The YMCA is closed for the following holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day and Juneteenth. Check website for daily hours.

Fountains at Polaris Fashion Place

Located near Cheesecake Factory at Polaris Fashion Place.

Partners Park Marysville

125 E 6th St, Marysville

The Splash Pad operates seasonally everyday from 10am-9pm unless maintenance is required.

Dorrian Green Park (outside of COSI)

50 South Belle St, Columbus

Open 11am-6pm, seven days a week

North Bank

311 W. Long St, Columbus.

Open 11am-6pm, seven days a week

Barnett Community Center Spraygrounds

1184 Barnett Rd, Columbus

Open daily 12-6pm

Blackburn Community Center Spraygrounds

263 Carpenter St, Columbus

Open daily 12-6pm

Linden Center For Opportunity Sprayground

1350 Briarwoord Ave, Columbus

Open daily 12-6pm

Scioto Southland Community Center Sprayground

3901 Parsons Ave, Columbus

Open daily 12-6pm

And don’t forget the Children’s Garden at Franklin Park Conservatory has a water area for kids to splash in and cool off!   (Admission to the Conservatory is required to visit the Children’s Garden).

Note: Scioto Mile Fountains is CLOSED FOR 2023.
