Summer is here and when you’re looking to cool off, look no further then some of the free Splash Pads in Columbus! Take a look at a few of our favorite places to beat the heat in the summer! Be sure to pack the following for a successful splash pad experience: sunscreen, sunglasses and/or hats, towels, an extra change of clothes, water and of course lots of snacks!
The Splash located at Village Green Park- 47 Hall St. in Powell, is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. through Labor Day, weather permitting. While you’re there, visit the solar picnic pavilion, which provides picnic tables and shade while supplying energy to the Municipal Building. Before visiting the Splash Pad, check the City’s homepage of the website or Facebook page to see if the Splash Pad is open or closed.
Ballantrae Community Fountains
Visit the spray fountains at Ballantrae Community Park, 6350 Woerner Temple Rd., this summer. Dates of operation vary each year depending on weather, at the discretion of staff.

Splash pad closes for the season October 1
This splash pad is located at Hanby Park: 115 E Park St, Westerville
Located by Brio at Easton Town Square
Hours: 10am to 8pm Memorial Day through Labor Day. Seating is available, but bringing your own chair is recommended.
Located at Bicentennial Park-233 Civic Center Dr, Columbus. Fountain operating hours are 11am-6pm, May 27-September 5. Parking is located at nearby parking meters, parking garages and surface parking lots.
And don’t forget the Children’s Garden at Franklin Park Conservatory has a water area for kids to splash in and cool off! (Admission to the Conservatory is required to visit the Children’s Garden).
