School is Out! Activities, Camps and Events for Presidents Day

School is out tomorrow and you might be looking for a fun family activity, or somewhere you can drop your kid (s) off for a day of fun.  I have put together a list of activities, events, camps and some play areas, indoor parks and art studios you may want to visit tomorrow.   Be sure to check the website or call ahead with any questions about cost, availabilty and hours!

Free Activities for the Family

For Kids: Kindness Rocks at Sharon Woods Metro Park.  Drop in between 10am-2pm.

Help spread kindness throughout the world by decorating rocks and hiding them for someone else to find. Meet at Spring Hollow Lodge.
Feel free to drop by anytime between 10am-2pm, but plan accordingly as the program will end at 2pm.

Scavenger Hunt Drop In at Highbanks Metro Park. Stop by anytime between 10am-2pm.

Day out of school, let’s get outside! Stop by the Nature Center to grab a scavenger hunt. Hike any trail on your own. Stop back at the nature center for a small prize.

Schools Out! Archery (Ages 8+) at Blacklick Woods Golf Course.

Enjoy the thrill and fun of archery this winter while being toasty warm inside at the Blacklick Woods Golf Course!! Archery will be indoors at the Golf Course Pro Shop! All equipment provided, fun and free! Ages 8+.  1pm-3pm.

For Kids! Create Snowflakes at Scioto Grove Metro Park. 2pm-3pm.

Forage for sticks along the trail and then cozy up after inside The Grove facility to create stick snowflake art!! Meet at The Grove facility and grab a bag and some instruction. Free and fun!

Indoor Camping Craft Time at Tremont Road Library, Upper Arlington.  3pm-4:30pm.

Dreaming of warmer days in the great outdoors? Make a firefly friend, earn a Junior Park Ranger badge, warm up by a paper campfire, and more with a camping experience – indoors! Ages 4-10.

Day Camp- President’s Day at Code Ninjas Hilliard

On No-School Days, kids can spend the day with us participating in a bunch of activities like coding, modding Minecraft, or building worlds in Roblox!  Kids need to bring their own packed lunch.  Activities vary, limited spots available. $75/child.
